Free Stuff for Readers

As you continue reading, we hope you enjoy our “free stuff” for readers. These stories, while short like the “Series” stories, are very different. These stories do not retell events from the Bible; instead, they come from my own personal experiences. Hence, they are told in the first person, not the third. Each of these tells of a brief, yet significant, event in my walk with Christ. I often go back and re-read them to remind me of God’s goodness. I hope you enjoy them also.

Other Stories
1Communion
The previous ten days had felt like thirty. I, along with the rest of the mission team, was completely drained. As the Psalmist said, “… my strength was poured out like a potsherd.” I didn’t know what a potsherd was, but I sure as hell knew how one felt.
3The Reluctant Witness
It had rained hard every day. Thank goodness the rains didn’t begin each day until about four in the afternoon. While the mountainous roads were too steep for there to be any standing water, the mud never seemed to dry. We had been in Honduras only three days, yet we had seen enough poverty to last three lifetimes.
2Itchy Sin
Sin is like an itch. You know you ought not scratch it, but sometimes, you just can’t help it.
