We can’t truly experience God’s joy and Grace until we “go and tell.” We have been given the most precious and valuable gift imaginable. We haven’t earned it and cannot ever earn it. But what we can do is share it. And in doing so, we get a small glimpse into Heaven. If you’re a new Christian, or even if you’re an old Christian, like me, I urge you to first get involved with a local, Bible-believing church. Then get involved in missions.
If Jesus Spoke Southern is a for-profit business, it’s not a non-profit. I don’t want anyone to be misled. I don’t ask for any donations and will not receive them on behalf of myself or anyone else. I sell my stories just like any other writer. However, I have been blessed to work with several terrific missionary organizations and feel God has led me to share them with you.
There are many different missionary organizations to choose from. Some are the real deal, and some are not. The ones I list here, I have personal experience with, and they are the real deal. They are God’s people, doing God’s work. I have personally worked with them in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Central America, and Africa. I will provide you with the links to their pages so that you can partner with them directly.
The first is New Churches Now. Its home page is: newchurchesnow.org. New Churches Now is a catalyzing movement of reproducing churches on a global basis. It is run by my friend, Joe Wilson. New Churches Now is taking the Gospel of Christ to the most difficult places in the world, and in doing so, changing it. It is involved in church planting and developing future leaders of Christianity in the extremely under-evangelized countries around the world. I have been with Joe on many missions, and it is such an honor to watch as the Holy Spirit changes lives. Joe’s goal is to take the Gospel of Christ to every country in the world. He’s well on his way, so if you want to be a part of God’s plan to spread the Gospel to every nation in the world, you’d better hurry.
The second is Children of the Nations. Its home page is: childrenofthenations.org. COTN is a Christian non-profit dedicated to raising children out of poverty and hopelessness so they can become leaders who transform their own nations. The organization specializes in caring for the most desperate children in some of the poorest countries in Africa and the Caribbean. I have personally been to their orphanage in Malawi, Africa, and I left a changed man.
Both of these organizations are working to reach the world for Christ, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
